The HBU Specialty Brands is a dedicated clinical, commercial team responsible for calling on prioritized healthcare facilities and physicians across U.S. HBU Specialty Brands is responsible for customer interactions and promotion in multiple healthcare channels such as Hospitals, Specialty Pharmacy, Home Infusion, Ambulatory Surgery Centers. The team is also responsible for HCP interactions in a wide-range of surgical and rare-disease specialties.
The Hybrid Rep is responsible for launching new products, managing business relationships, formulary access, and product promotion within assigned accounts. The Hybrid Rep is charged with sales efforts and relationship development with key KOLs. The Hybrid Rep should possess in-depth expertise in virtual engagement and face to face, demonstrate strong selling skills, systematic approach to virtual engagement (e.g., clear agenda, next steps/follow ups) outstanding communications skills, able to analyze data, operation of digital and virtual tools/multi-platforms skills, ability to work remote collaboration with cross-functional internal teams and must have business acumen skills.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Hospital Business Unit
  • Responsible for execution of sample or demo strategy across channels including proactive tracking of delivery across channels; work effectively across multiple virtual engagement platforms based on customer preferences/compliance guidelines; able to integrate guidance manager/other support roles/technical solutions (e.g., content recommendation engines) into pre-call planning; proactive planning and optimization of call environment in multiple locations; able to effectively plan day-to-day work based on personal and customer schedules; collaborate effectively with other CF colleagues and Pfizer Connect team members
  • Effectively build rapport with customer in virtual or live environment; maintain a methodical approach toward calls (e.g., clear next steps and appropriate documentation, managing to KPIs); utilize current digital tools effectively (e.g., Zoom, Webex, Microsoft office), as well as adapt quickly to new/beta tools (e.g., digital triage app) for successful customer engagement; leverage analytics to assist with insights and next best action
  • Effectively use calendaring tools, leadership goals, and personal insights into customer priorities to prioritize outbound calls effectively; and bring insights from customer surveys to leadership to improve model
  • Utilizes customer engagement skills to customize product messaging to meet business objectives, focus on customer needs, present the appropriate solution, and create successful interactions.
  • Partner with key customers to grow business and drive product demand by proactively providing solutions to achieve business objectives and needs to achieve consistent and documented sales results
  • Perform an analysis to rate accomplishment of objectives and set objectives for next call with specific account; develops partnerships with customers and has an in-depth understanding of their needs
  • Delivers targeted messaging utilizing approved materials via customer engagement to drive product demand; leverages account priorities to drive a positive business trajectory; proactively provides insights for the development of new and innovative approved product messaging
  • Work effectively with Hospitals, Specialty Pharmacy, Home Infusion, HCPs and office staff to plan for customer engagements in multiple formats (e.g., discussions and meals, virtual and in-person)
  • Share product overview with promotional claims; share branded & unbranded product value proposition and clinically oriented disease state information (including RWE, Epi Data, healthcare disparities)-subject to PPC/RC approval
  • Provide information on Reimbursement, PAPA programs, Pfizer hub programs (excluding individual cases); generate demand and ask the HCP to change their prescribing behavior (e.g. close sales); and discuss information on front end diagnostics (where applicable, subject to RC approval)
  • Discuss already negotiated contract terms and pre-approved contract options (as needed) proactively answer top 10 on-label questions (provided pre-approved scripted responses an vis aids in toolbox; introduce future state Pfizer on-demand portal (Galaxy) with access to appropriate targeted content
  • Hold 1x/year team introduction calls with subject-matter experts to discuss overview of each cross-functional role while maintaining limited coordination and role boundaries for Sales (e.g. medical reimbursement, KAM); able to use triaging protocols to create connections with appropriate SMEs using digital apps to send compliant messages for rapid responses war transfer for real-time hand-offs to cross-functional experts with some limitations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of hospital/institutional, medical device, or related experience (hospital pharmacy or nursing in a hospital setting)
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Business acumen and stakeholders management; and understanding the business priorities
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to analyze and draw appropriate conclusions
  • Strong communication and relationship skills as well as excellent written; including the ability to think and communicate with a host of diverse customers
  • Excellent facilitation skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus

  • Compliance: Knowledge and understanding of Pfizer Policy; training completion; communication; customer engagement; manages risks; and empowered to explore appropriate actions with managers and colleagues
  • Digital Competency: Multi-platform experience, use digital apps; Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
